A distinctive amber (orange) wine from the organic vineyards of Papari Valley in Kakheti, Georgia’s premier wine region. Produced from a blend of Chinuri and Rkatsiteli and fermented on skins in traditional Qvevri, this wine reflects Georgia’s ancient winemaking heritage combined with modern organic farming and minimal intervention techniques. The terraced marani (winery) system employs gravity flow between Qvevri, enhancing purity and avoiding mechanical pumping.
Tasting Notes:
Golden amber in colour, the nose is expressive and aromatic, showing dried pear, apricot and subtle herbal nuances. On the palate it is fruit-forward and rounded, with gentle tannic texture from skin contact and flavours of stone fruit and dried orchard notes. Unfiltered and naturally crafted, it offers vitality and complexity while remaining approachable and soft in style.
Winemaking:
Produced using the traditional Qvevri method, grapes are fermented and aged on skins to create the wine’s amber hue and textural depth. The terraced system at Papari Valley allows gravity-fed movement between vessels, reducing intervention and preserving the wine’s natural character. Organic viticulture and spontaneous fermentation further enhance authenticity and expression of terroir.
Food Pairing:
A versatile partner for Mediterranean cuisine, roasted vegetables, charcuterie and dishes with gentle spice. Its textural complexity also complements hard cheeses and richly flavoured vegetarian dishes.
ABV: 12.5%
