Description

The Etapa 24 is a super example of the Godello grape. On the nose there is pineapple and green apple, accompanied by notes of thyme and rosemary. It's soft on the palate  elegant structure that provides gives wine a long evolution tinted with balsamic notes, silk and a persistent end.

Manual selection of grapes in vineyards of 50 years. The grapes are pressed at soft pressures and the wort goes to stainless steel tanks where they fer-ment between 12 and 18 days to a temperature of 16ºC. Once the fermenta-tion is finished the wine remains on its fine lees, on that with a periodic batonnage they put in suspension. The wine is tasted weekly to control its aromatic evolution and to determine the ideal moment of decanting and later bottling.

Bodegas Adriá was set up in its present form in 2002 with the construction of a modern facility for the production of highest quality Bierzo wines. Adriá’s roots date to 1940 and the founding of Bodegas Francisco Pérez Adriá by a native of Valencia who had fallen in love with Bierzo wines. Adria owns 50 hectares of vines, the majority of which are planted with white Godello grapes while black Mencia grapes are bought from contracted growers who have old vines. The wines here are fermented with natural yeasts.
