This wine is a wonderful example of modern southern French winemaking. It's a blend of traditional grape varieties; Grenache Blanc, Vermentino and Rousanne, a very small proportion of which is briefly aged in oak. The flavours are clean and precise, it has a delightful texture and finishes with a generous flourish of stone fruits. The oak is barely noticeable, although there is a touch of spice in the background. This should appeal to white Burgundy drinkers as well as those after something a little fresher.
