2016 Corton Blanc Grand Cru, Domaine Chandon de Brailles, Burgundy, France

This rich textured white Burgundy is an absolute treat. There is a hint of oak on the nose, but it's ripe melon and stone fruits that dominate. On the palate it is the fruit that again dominates, with layers of flavour leading to a subtle nuttiness on the finish. This juicy, fruit-dominated style lends this wine to drinking in its youth, so this wine is very much good to go.
