Brut Rose Champagne, Fluteau, France

The Fluteau Rose Champagne is something special. Unusually for Champagne it is made in the 'Saignee' method, more commonly used for still rose production. Most Champagne producers use the simpler method of blending red and white together to make rose. 

The result is a rose with a really deep colour and rich texture. It's bursting with red fruits and is a very interesting wine with food as well as being a wonderful aperitif. It would match to cured meats, Asian spiced dishes or even a summery berry pudding.
