The quality of wine coming out of South Africa at the moment is quite exceptional, and some of the most memorable wines we have tasted in the past year have been the red wines from Holden Manz in Franschhoek. Their flagship Bordeaux style blends (with added Syrah), Big G and Visionaire, have won multiple awards. The Vernissage is classed as their entry wine, but we think there are many estates who would like a wine this good as their top cuvée. All are barrel aged, richly textured and very classy.
